Barbara's Story

I live with my artist husband, and our dog in a wooded area on top of a shale covered mountain in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I am formally a volunteer and photographer with Safe Haven Pa, a local dog rescue. I've always been an animal lover, so this was a wonderful opportunity for me to help dogs that come from kill shelters, or were owner surrenders to find new homes with loving families. ur community. Our dog Cali who passed away at the age of 15 gave back to other dogs as a blood donor. She was featured in an October online issue of the ASPCA newsletter which featured dogs with unusual jobs. Please have a heart and donate or volunteer to your local shelter or rescue! Save a life, adopt and please don't shop for a dog, or cat in a Pet Shop where they sell ‘puppy mill dogs.’ Currently, I occupy my time taking adult classes for different interests of mine and I belong to a few local clubs.
